America's First Lady is fast becoming a champion of new and exciting designers.
The pressure was on to look good as Michelle Obama joined her husband to welcome a host of A-listers to The White House Correspondents' Dinner. This asymmentric flower necklace by St Erasmus, inspired by 18th-century India, was the one she chose to wow. St Erasmus is a collection of jewellery created by Pieter Erasmus, who, after designing for high-end labels as diverse as Givenchy, Matthew Williamson and Roberto Cavalli, decided to start his own line. Drawing inspiration from India and Africa, Pieter creates stand-out pieces using gold and silver thread hand crocheted over glimmering Swarovski crystals. The jewellery has a hand-crafted feel but with Pieter's design background the finish is invariably flawless.
