On a recent trip around the cobbled streets, InStyle happened upon Mary Portas’s new boutique-style charity store Mary’s Living & Giving Shop, where among the pristine denims and sleek velvet jackets, we spotted personal good-luck donations from a host of generous high-end brands such as By Malene Birger, Stella McCartney, Rupert Sanderson and Alessandra Rich, selling for a fraction of the retail price.
As Richmond simply teems with the chic, the wealthy and the famous, the clothes flooding into the bijou shop are sure to be amazing. At InStyle HQ, we’re hoping Georgia May Jagger drops off a stack of her Hudson skinnes en route to mum Jerry Hall’s Richmond Hill house and that Angelina Jolie pops in with a few of those awesome Oscar frocks next time she’s in her fave part of town.
Come payday, we’re bolting back to snap up the charcoal-green Armani Collezioni wool skirt suit we spied (hands off!) and, as all the proceeds go to Save the Children, we won’t feel remotely guilty about treating ourselves.
