The London-based designer will finally be able to sell her wares from her very own store
Mary Katrantzou, Queen of Prints, has announced that she will launch her first online store on November 20, 2013.
And it's about time too: we've been waiting patiently long enough for Mary to open her own shop. We're certain it won't disappoint: the Greek-born, London-based designer has been working on the transactional website for the best part of five years.
'The website has said ‘Coming Soon’ for the past four years,' Mary told WWD. 'We’ve been designing it for over a year, and it took a lot longer than we anticipated.'
The online store will initially sell a 45 exclusive, limited edition designs from Mary Katrantzou's first ever resort collection, as well as her Autumn winter 2013 collection. But by spring, Mary promises a 'very wide range of clothing' will be available on the site.
Since her eponymous label first launched in 2009, Mary Katranztzou's London Fashion Week shows have been very well attended. She is the go-to designer for many A-list celebrities, and her signature trompe l'oeil prints have been seen on the likes of Keria Knightley, Diane Kruger and Naomie Harris.
Safe to say, we're very excited about the launch. Until then, you'll find us watching the stylish animated countdown on the website's homepage…
