London's hottest fashion designer goes print-tastic using Mawi's statement jewellery as inspiration

Mary Katrantzou has had the fashion press fawning over her colourful digital print dresses depicting outsized jewellery for a good few seasons now. Her shift dresses in acid brights were instantly snapped up on preorder by fashion editors and designer boutiques alike.

Katrantzou's A/W 2010 collection last Saturday was one of the most hotly anticipated at London Fashion Week as the fashion world couldn't wait to get a glimpse of her upcoming collection.

And it seems that the fashion designer decided to pay homage to one of London's coolest jewellery design talents, Mawi, in the process.

Mawi Keivom, the lady behind the bold jewellery labelled Mawi spotted digital prints which seem to be inspired by her pearl cocktail ring and statement metal domed necklace. The depicitions feature on Katrantzou's ornately decorated, baroque A/W shift dress.

Mawi said 'I am flattered that another designer has used by designs as inspiration in such an innovative way and in such a striking collection.'
