Mary Katrantzou designer a wedding dress

Mary Katrantzou's first wedding dress

Mary Katrantzou has turned her hand to bridal wear, creating a wedding dress for her friend Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, founder of the Walkabout Foundation.

The Greek-born, London-based designer got pretty snap happy (as we all do at weddings), and shared a clutch of photos of the beautiful bride in the stunning wedding dress.

Featuring a halterneck, and full, ruffly skirt, the dress was a departure from Mary's usual brightly-coloured and print-heavy dresses. But then, this did look like a traditional do, and so a trad dress was fitting for the big day.

We don't yet know whether the designer has any plans to properly branch out into bridal wear, but if this one off gown is anything to go by, we're sure Mary will have brides-to-be queuing to get a dress made by her.
