Marc Jacobs ended his tenure as creative director at Louis Vuitton in October after 15 years, and now his final Spring Summer 2014 campaign featuring his last ever collection has been released.
In the same way Jacobs dedicated his final show to the women that inspire him, he chose to pay tribute to his many beautiful muses by casting them in the amazing campaign.
Sophia Coppola, Gisele Bündchen, Catherine Deneuve, Fan Bingbing and Caroline de Maigret and Edie Campbell were photographed by Steven Meisel for the campaign, which is made up of eight single, striking portraits.
British model Edie Campbell, who recently won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, was also handpicked by Jacobs to open his final Louis Vuitton catwalk show in New York.
'Just as Marc Jacobs’ valedictory show was intended as a celebration, so this, his final campaign for Louis Vuitton, offers a vibrant homage to women and to enduring style,' read the press release.
Jacobs is replaced at Vuitton by former-Balenciaga creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere. Speaking about his successor at a lecture recently, Jacobs said: 'He is a brilliant designer and he'll do something completely different. I've always admired Nicolas. I'm curious to see what he'll do. We have such different aesthetics.
'Things need to change. I'm really glad someone I respect and admire, and think is a really great talent, is there.'
We can't wait to see what Nicolas has in store for Vuitton, and also what Marc Jacobs has up his sleeve for his own eponymous label...
