5 Things We're Looking Forward To At London Fashion Week AW16

It’s almost time for another London Fashion Week. *Insert celebratory and dancing lady emojis here* But what is the InStyle fashion team most excited about? Shopping Editor Josh Newis-Smith talks us through the five things on everyone’s lips…

1. God Save (Mc)Queen

Alexander McQueen is celebrating its 23rd birthday by coming home to London. The show is relocating from Paris and is set to be the stand out moment on the schedule. Expect serious amounts of romance and a heavy dose of history from the brand’s Creative Director, Sarah Burton.

2. Mulberry’s Re-Birth

Burberry is also making a comeback on the London Fashion Week schedule. The brand that launched many must-have bags has a new creative director at the helm, Johnny Coca. It’s two entire years since the brand showcased their collections so expectations around the former Celine designer are high to say the least.

3. Charlotte Olympia Takes To The Catwalk

The shoe designer, with many an a-list and editorial fan, is taking to the runway for the very first time. We are expecting some kind of bouji boudoir.

4. The Brit Girl To Watch: Sophie Ahrens

Sophie started her career by casually appearing in the Prada campaign. Easy work if you can get it (jokes!). Now a few seasons in the British model is taking the fashion world by the horns following an appearance in the autumn/winter 2015 Topshop campaign. We can’t wait to see her serene face cropping up all over the joint.

5. The FROW Nichers

One thing you can expect from London Fashion Week is a jolly good FROW. A favourite game of ours is spotting the nichest FROWer possible. Last season it was a toss up between Ronan Keating and Bruno Tonioli. Be still our beating hearts!
