Lea Seydoux and Adele Exarchopoulos are the new faces of Miu Miu's Resort 2014 campaign. And if you're not yet familiar with the two Gallic beauties, you soon will be, and not least becuase of their foray into fashion.
The young actresses both star in the hotly-anticipated Blue Is The Warmest Colour, a three-hour drama which has courted controversy, as well as high praise, for its graphic lesbian sex scenes.
The film, which won the prestigious Palme d'Or prize at Cannes earlier this year, follows the relationship between Emma (Seydoux) and Adele (Exarchopoulos), as they meet and embark on a journey of love and self-discovery together.
You may already recognise Lea from film's such as Quentin Tarintino's Inglourious Basterds and Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris, as well as fashion campaigns for the likes of Prada and Rag&Bone. But the 28-year old Lea is a relative veteran compared to 19-year old Adele Exarchopoulos, who is just breaking onto the fashion and film scene.
Shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Miu Miu described the campaign as: 'Five flirtatious compositions capture their candid chemistry: an arm casually slung over a shoulder, leaning together in a mirrored pose, casually reclined across each other on the floor. The background wall in baby pink and girlish styling of the collection contrast with the actresses’ seductive presence.'
Once again, Miu Miu has its finger firmly on the pulse by casting these two starlets, who we will no doubt be seeing much more of in the not so distant future.
