Kimberley Walsh has edited a new range for

Kimberley Walsh is finally making her mark on the fashion industry, announcing her debut range for at a gorgeous press dinner in London last night.

Arriving at the Soho Hotel wearing a stunning purple shift dress from the collection, the former Girls Aloud star proved that she's put her studs and stage glitter well and truly behind her as she launches this sophisticated, grown-up range for the catalogue brand.

Perching up next to us as we ate our chocolate mousse, Kimberley told us: 'It's been so much fun selecting my favourite pieces for the edit. I wanted to select glamorous and easy-to-wear pieces and include something for everyone and I think I’ve achieved that.'

Oh, she certainly has.

She added: 'The Very teams have been so great to work with, from the design teams to the PR teams, it's been so nice. I've worked on lines before, with New Look and Puma, but with this edit I was really able to think about my friends that are all different shapes and what they would wear. There's lots of colour, but also some plainer pieces for those who aren't as brave. I'm so pleased with it all.'

The gorgeous 23-piece edit consists of pretty shifts, tea dresses, a monochrome skirt and shirt, plus plenty of prints, lace detailing and stunning spring trends. It screams Kimberley's chic, timeless style, and we've no doubt that it'll be a total sell-out.

Prices range from £29–£69, so it's totally affordable, and the collection comes in sizes 8–20.

As Kimberley announced she was off home to put her pyjamas on and watch Breaking Bad with her boyfriend Justin, (no heavy nights out for this lady anymore), she told us she's hoping for a sneaky role in Downton Abbey.

'I'd love to do more serious acting,' she told us. 'I did Shrek but I'd love to get my teeth into a great role. Maybe even Downton Abbey!'

Now THAT we'd love to see.

You can shop the range online now, with more pieces dropping from 1 February. Nice work, Kimba.
