Kate Moss is known the world over as a supermodel and fashion icon. And so who better to help Sir Philip Green crack the Chinese market than her?
Kate’s new collection for Topshop will hit 40 stores worldwide when it launches in April 2014, but Green has his eyes on an even bigger prize. “We could use that as an opportunity to open 20 to 30 pop-up stores within department stores in China,” Green told The Guardian.
This summer saw Topshop launch in Hong Kong, but Green is also said to be in "advanced discussions" with a number of people about opening the first Topshop outlets on the mainland.
It’s been three-and-a-half years since Mossy last worked with the retailer, but that time hasn’t dampened the public’s appetite for a new collaboration between the super and high street giant. Working with stylist extraordinare, Katy England and fashion-editor-turned-Topshop-creative-director Kate Phelan, we have high hopes for the upcoming line.
