Discovered at the tender age of just 14 by Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm Model Management, Mossy has been at the centre of the fashion industry ever since. Whether she is gracing the covers of glossy magazines, collaborating with major high street brands like Topshop and Rimmel, or strutting down the catwalk for any one of a number of top designers, Kate Moss's influence over the way we dress is undeniable. And, while her sartorial power has a global reach, Kate Moss will always be synonymous with British style.
It's fitting then, that as she marks 25 years working in the industry, and as her landmark 40th birthday approaches, Ms Moss is recognised for her achievements.
Speaking about working with the super, photographer Mario Testino said: 'Kate Moss has made many people dream. And not only people that look at fashion but those that create it as well. The moment she puts on an outfit, it takes another identity. She adds personality to fashion and I personally, can never get enough of her.'
This won't be the first time Kate has taken home a trophy from the British Fashion Awards: the 39-year old won Model of the Year in 2006 and in 2009 was the first person to receive a British Fashion Award decided entirely by public vote.
Meanwhile, the other nominees waiting in anticipation to see if they too will be taking home a trophy, include: Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs, Cara Delevingne, Anya Hindmarch, Raf Simons, Mary Katrantzou, Prada and Nicholas Kirkwood.
Good luck to all, and our congratulations to Kate Moss!
