Exciting things are happening for British fashion and lifestyle brand Nicole Farhi. Having entered its 30th year of business, it has now confirmed the appointment of Joanna Sykes as their new Creative Director, starting this September.
Founder of the brand Nicole Farhi said, "Nicole Farhi has always been about timeless style and effortless elegance. Jo understands these qualities and brings a fantastic eye for detail, as well as a great understanding of cut, proportion and fabrication."
Joanna, former design director at Aquascutum, also has an impressive background as a head designer for Freda at Matches and ran her own label Sykes for three and a half years. She was also a design consultant for Giorgio Armani and womenswear designer for Alberta Ferretti and Philosophy.
Joanna said of her new role: “I am extremely excited at the prospect of joining Nicole Farhi. It is an iconic, British brand with fantastic heritage and enormous potential. I can’t wait to get started."
She will start at the beginning of September and her first collection will be Autumn Winter 2013.
