Michelle Obama's favourite high street store, J. Crew, is set to launch online in the UK today
If you hadn't heard of J. Crew before Michelle Obama went on presidential tour with husband Barack you very probably have by now. When America's First Lady chose to wear a number of outfits from the high street store, the chic label hit headlines worldwide.
For those in the know, J. Crew is the undisputed source of the best in preppy fashion in the US… Think Blair Waldorf and Ivy league style, collegiate blazers and soft cotton basics.
Up until now, British fans who have wanted to get a piece of J. Crew style have had to buy from the US. But net-a-porter.com have come to the rescue with a well-edited selection from their spring/summer range to launch on the website this week.
Natalie Massenet, net-a-porter's founder says: 'We love J. Crew so we are delighted that they have decided to joine forces with us... We can provide our customers with something exclusive and J. Crew can offer its fans abroad access to products that they haven't had previously.'
Today the first J. Crew pieces hit net-a-porter and include must-haves such as cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, cashmere, boyfriend shorts, bikinis and cotton tees.
