The Swedish store is launching a new ethical range in April, and it looks like it's going to be a winner
H&M has long been building a reputation for itself as the high street destination for the savvy, eco-shopper. And with the launch of its new Conscious Exclusive Collection just around the corner, the store is set to further cement its ethically-sound status.
But if you think ethical clothing's synonymous with hemp trousers and cotton T-shirts, think again. H&M's new collection is made up of beautiful cocktail dresses and glamorous separates that will see you through the summer party season with ease – and with a clean conscience.
All of the fabrics used in the collection are either organic, or sustainably sourced. As such, the pieces have a slightly more spenny price tag than the usual H&M fodder. A black mullet-hem dress worn here by Emmy Rossum comes in at £149.99, while the gorgeous cream lace smock worn by Sophia Bush is £129.99.
But if you can look this great, and feel good in the knowledge that these clothes have been made with a conscience, then we say it's money well spent.
The Conscious Exclusive Collection launches in stores on April 10.
