H&M is a perennial high street favourite, and over all the gens too. We can all remember shopping there for sassy basics in our early teens (hello, strap tops!), then the bargain knitwear and summery dresses in our unay days, and there’s still the hero buys we Internet order in case the blogger hype makes them sell out.
Right now, what we’re talking about (no, not the ruffle shirts — that was last month) is the JEANS. They’ve got all this season’s trends COVERED! As well as some holiday-budget-friendly versions of the pairs you’ve been eyeing up on the Instagram elite.
The It Jean
First, let’s talk about those Vetements jeans — you know, the panelled ones that was suddenly cladding the legs of anyone with over 100k followers? Now H&M have done some and, though they’re currently sold out online, they’re still in stores and a second drop is coming soon. (We’ll give you a heads up when they're back on H&M.)
The Raw Hem Crop
We've been trying to work out how many morning coffees we'd have to skip to get the dreamy Citizens Of Humanity pair, but just as we were slumped over our desks in a caffeine-free daze we saw H&M had answered our denim dreams again. The ideal level of crop (just above the ankle rather than mid-calf for leg-flattering, ankle boot and tie-up sandal purposes), a solid dark wash raw hem and only £30… *Go to H&M checkout*
Classic Black Ankle Jeans
They’re an undeniable classic, so even denim trend cynics can’t take against the straight leg black ankle jean. Relaxed fit and casj enough to wear with a tiny knitted top for an Almost Famous vibe. A winner if you’re a sock gal too as they cut just on the ankle (meaning zero leg window, meaning zero hair removal requirements). A favourite of The Man Repeller (and the Insta-massive), at £29.99 they’re an absolute barg. Yes, H&M!
