The high street has really upped its game when it comes to dressing our feet of late, meaning that more and more we're turning to shops such as Zara and Topshop for all our shoe needs.
It's unsurprising then that H&M wants a piece of the action, too. While the Swedish retailer does already offer a selection of footwear, it pales in comparison next to the likes of Zara (whose £30 range has really caught our attention), Topshop (hello heeled ankle boots) and even its sister brands & Other Stories and Cos.
So rather than let its rivals take all the glory, H&M has announced that it will be launching 'an extended and improved shoe range for women, men, teenagers and children' this autumn.
Since H&M recently reported that sales were up by 20 per cent in the second quarter of 2014, it makes sense that it should want to continue on that lucrative path – and we reckon a purse-friendly, on-trend shoe collection is definitely the way to go.
No word yet on what the new and improved range will include, but we don't doubt that it will give Zara a run for its money...
