Let's face it, as grateful as we are for some British sun, shopping in the summer can be a bit of a nightmare. Soaring temperatures combined with maddening crowds can just make the whole experience a little hellish.
So we all breathed a sigh of relief when we learned of Harvey Nichols' new flower garden installation, courtesy of Champagne Perrier-Jouet, atop the Knightsbridge store's Fifth Floor Café's Terrace.
This oasis of calm is a result of collaboration between a number of artists and designers. With a lush green ‘lawn' floor and white aluminium metal anemones, created by Izabella Doyle and Suzanne O'Connell, adorning the walls, this magical little urban retreat provides the perfect place to rest your weary French Soles after a tough day at the shops.
And if you're feeling a tad playful there's even a garden swing in the corner embellished with the Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque bottles. Coupled with a special soundtrack created by Jim Latimer and a mouth-watering new Garden Salad Menu, this installation is the ultimate soothing summer hotspot.
