Last night saw Graduate Fashion Week's prestigious River Island Gold Award go to Myrto Samou of Rochester University. The designer, who presented a stellar collection packed with modern, asymmetric dresses and cut-away gowns, was awarded the £20,000 prize by Matthew Williamson, Giles Deacon and River Island CEO, Richard Bradbury CBE before a star-studded crowd that included Claudia Schiffer, Amber Le Bon, Erin O'Connor and British Fashion Council Chairman Harold Tillman.
