Giles Deacon, one of London's most innovative fashion designers, will be the focus of the V&A's next Fashion in Motion project. In a series of free catwalk shows in the V&A's Raphael Gallery, Deacon will showcase some of his favourite pieces in his usually impressive style.
After graduating from Central Saint Martin's in 1992, Giles Deacon worked with Jean Charles de Castelbajac in Paris, at Bottega Veneta and with Tom Ford at Gucci in Milan before launching his own label in 2004.
And luckily for us fashionistas without deep pockets, he has also done a rather fabulous range for high street fashion shop New Look over the last two years. No wonder the prolific designer was awarded British Designer of the Year in 2007.
Giles Deacon said: "I am thrilled to be taking part in Fashion in Motion, as the V&A is one of the world's most interesting museums and my personal favourite. I have been visiting it regularly since my teenage years and to see my work there is amazing."
Everyone went mad for Giles Deacon's debut show at 2004 London Fashion Week. It has been the hottest ticket ever since, and notoriously difficult to get into. So we can't wait to get our hands on our free tickets to this event.
Friday 17 July, 13.00, 15.00, 17.00, 20.00. Tickets limited so booking is essential. Tickets available from Wednesday 8 July. To book, call 020 7942 2820
