The Mothers4Children raffle this year was a huge success, raising money for the charity and including a range of fabulous prizes.
One of the lucky winners was Charlie Kanareck, who won a £250 French Connection shopping spree, followed by a makeover and shoot at Direct Studios with the InStyle fashion and beauty team on hand to help turn her into a glamazon.
After a night in central London staying at Ten Manchester Street in Marylebone, Charlie spent the morning with our stylist Lucy Pavia at the French Connection flagship store on Oxford Street, where she picked out a festive sequin mini - ‘to come in handy for Christmas cocktails!’ – and some killer heels.
A car then whisked her to the studio, where she was met by InStyle’s junior fashion editor, Charlie Moore, beauty editor Lisa Durant, and top hairdresser and make-up artist Amanda Wright who set to work on a sultry evening look to complement her new outfit. After her makeover, Charlie was photographed by fashion and beauty photographer Elizabeth Gibson. ‘What a day!’ she gushed ‘I feel like a princess!’
Proceeds from the raffle went to Mothers4Children, a children’s charity patronised by a host of glamorous celebrity mothers including Lisa B, Anya Hindmarch, Liz Hurley and Louise Rednapp. The charity identifies and supports existing charitable organisations that have developed successful programmes and services that benefit children.
