As hundreds of people performed a massive moonwalk at the Champs de Mars in Paris yesterday, designers too paid homage to the late Michael Jackson. For the finale of Paul Smith's show, models came dancing down the catwalk to the ‘"Thriller" theme tune and during agnès b's menswear presentation at Le Meurice hotel, brand founder Agnès Troublé was astounded by the amount of people paying tribute: " The streets of Paris are filled with people wearing white shirts and black hats. I saw a group - there must have been about 100 of them - of youngsters all dressed like that."
Troublé who once dressed Diego Luna who appeared in Harmony Korine's "Mister Lonely" as the late Jackson, has recently designed a menswear range. Her latest developments include the Agnès Troublé project, otherwise known as the Agnès b Foundation for artistic, ecological and humanitarian well fare. Launched at her last show, the project sees ‘Tara'-a boat, due to set sail in September on a three-year voyage to research the world's ecosystems.
