Aside from the stylists, fashion writers and, of course, the celebs on the FROW, Fashion Week is the most important time of the year for the industry's top buyers.
Making the call as to which designers and pieces your favourite fashion stores will stock, a fashion buyer is one of the most influential people in attendance at any catwalk show. With the power to make a collection a hit, every label is vying for a buyers affections. However, their job isn't done when the show ends - afterwards, the buyers have to race to a series of private appointments to view the garments up close, and decide whether or not they'll include them in their new season roster. So yep, this is a pretty big deal for the buyers and designers alike.
Once night falls, they're a firm fixture at all the hottest events, dinners and parties, rubbing shoulders with the street style set and the stars alike. Sounds dreamy huh?
Giving us an unprecedented look at what a buyer REALLY does during Fashion Week is Leila Yavari, Fashion Director of STYLEBOP.com, who has taken us along for the ride during her New York Fashion Week schedule.
Take a peek at all of her glamorous goings on and we guarantee you'll consider a change of career...
