Emma Watson may not have been up for any awards at last night's Golden Globes 2014, but she definitely took home the trophy for boldest fashion statement.
Eschewing the usual couture gowns favoured by the rest of the A-list, the Harry Potter star opted for a directional Christian Dior dress and trouser combo instead.
The scarlet silk and chiffon gown looks deceivingly simple (and, dare we say, quite plain) from the front. It's only when Emma Watson turned around that we saw the dress was in fact totally backless, and that the actress had chosen to wear a pair of navy cigarette trousers underneath. Amazing.
It was a risky choice, but one that paid off. We think Emma's look is the very definition of elegance and sophistication, and a refreshing change to the usual red carpet wardrobe fodder.
Topping off the ensemble with a pair of blue suede Roger Vivier heels, a single pear earring and minimal hair and make-up, Emma's look was definitely one of our favourites of the night.
After the 23-year-old old had taken to the stage to present the award for Best Animated Picture, Emma swapped her Dior look for a sultry black embellished number for a Golden Globes after party. And looked equally as amazing.
It looks like this star has just raised the red carpet game...
