Dolce & Gabbana for Italy

Dolce & Gabbana for Italy

Madonna's embellished bustier and Lady Gaga's armoured corset, both by Dolce & Gabbana, represent Italy at a fashion exhibition in Paris' Musee Des Arts Decoratifs

Dolce & Gabbana’s sexy, figure-hugging clothes have always been synonymous with Italian sensuality, so it was no surprise to find out that the fashion label has been picked to represent the nation at the second edition of the exhibition Les annees 1900-2000: Histoire Ideale de la Mode Contemporaine at the Musee Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.

The two lucky outfits that will fly the flag are a multi-coloured and embellished bustier from the Pin Up collection (Autumn/Winter 1991/92), which became iconic when Madonna wore it to the Truth or Dare premiere, and the corset-armour dress in laminated leather from the New Sexy Glam collection (Spring/Summer 2007), which was modelled by Jessica Stam on the catwalk and later worn by Lady Gaga on the cover of her album, Paparazzi.

It’s worth the trip to Paris just to check out these two iconic garments in the flesh!
