The iconic New York brand DKNY Men made its UK debut last night as part of London Collection's Men. With queues around the block and people jostling at the door to get in, it was evident this was the hottest ticket of the day. Models including Jude Law's son Rafferty showcased a sporty yet tailored collection – think logo sweatshirts, boxy t-shirts and zip-panelled coats in cobalt blue, crisp white and mustard yellow.
But it was the experiments with fabrics that really stood out – smoked rubber panels, neoprene lettering and parachute cotton on raincoats and baseball shaped tops were practical but edgy – the ideal New York wardrobe.
Once the presentation was over, Nick Grimshaw hit the decks and amplified the party mood to the max. Pixie Lott, Mollie King and Leah Weller flocked to the dancefloor whilst we spotted Jessie J, Lindsay Lohan and Jourdan Dunn hanging out by the bar.
With another three DJs including Acyde and Tremaine and Riton lining up to take over the decks, plus the Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve cocktails flowing, it was clear this wasn't going to be a sensible early Sunday night like most Londoners are used. The New York vibe had well and truly arrived.
