Red Carpet Green Dress - competition - Oscars - Suzy Amis - muse - design

Attention all budding fashion designers! What if you were given a chance to see a dress you've designed worn on the red carpet by a celebrity at the Oscars? We know it sounds WAY too good to be true, but enter the Red Carpet Green Dress competition and this could actually happen.

What is it?

Red Carpet Green Dress was set up by Suzy Amis, wife of Avatar director James Cameron, to promote eco-friendly fashion. "We're looking for a spectacular gown that demonstrates beauty and sustainability go hand in hand" Suzy told us.

How do I enter?

Firstly, you don't need any previous design experience. Just submit a sketch of a dress that can be made from sustainable materials to, plus a £30 fee to be donated to Muse, Amis's educational charity.

The prize

The winner will work with an established designer to create the dress, then fly out to LA where a surprise A-lister will wear it on the red carpet at the 85th Academy Awards Ceremony on 24 February, 2013. The competition closes on 15 November, so get sketching!
