Day 6: New York Fashion Week

Day 6: New York Fashion Week
Rex/PA

Marchesa, Michael Kors, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Oscar de la Renta set our hearts a-flutter on day 6 of New York Fashion Week with more than a couple of to-die-for looks…

Marchesa

Marchesa's dreamy collection (top right) will have their A-list fans squealing with delight; Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz, Sienna Miller and Scarlett Johannson all love Georgina Chapman's dreamy gowns and there were plenty of flowers, frills and pouffs to set hears alight from their S/S 2010 collection.

Oscar de la Renta

There was a lot of love for those elegant society ladies sitting front row at Oscar de la Renta (bottom left). Carrie Bradshaw's favourite designer used borderie anglaise, embroidery, sequins and brocade fabric in his S/S 2010 offering.

3.1 Phillp Lim

Lauren Conrad and Gossip Girl Leighton Meester watched the action from the front row at 3.1 Phillip Lim (top left). The models strutted down a lipstick-red runway in a selection of delightful swingy-skirted frocks, sequins and sporty shorts. Easily wearable, feminine but not too girly and with a touch of boy styling.

Michael Kors

Sleek, sophisticated and very New York city chic, Michael Kors presented an urban-friendly collection in bright, sparkling white, ice-blue, black and a silver sheen. Space-age details like Perspex cuffs, diagonal zippers and silver foil prints gave a minimal luxe feel.
