Karen Millen has hired legendary British photographer and artist David Bailey to shoot their new autumn winter 2013 fashion campaign. It’s clear from the striking images that the photographer favours a minimalist approach: you won’t find a grand or elaborate set design here. Rather, Bailey allows the models and clothes to take centre stage. And we like what we’re seeing.
The high street fashion store, best known for its higher-end partywear, has been undergoing a revamp of late: as well as getting the likes of David Bailey and fashion visionary Katy England on board to style the shoot, the store also announced they will be offering a bespoke service for their customers.
Until 8 September 2013, Karen Millen has taken up residency in a studio in Selfridges where they are offering a made-to-measure tailoring service.
Customers are able to choose from a range of silhouettes and luxurious fabrics, which will then be made into the perfect-fitting dress, skirt, suit or coat. It may not be the cheapest option on the high-street, but it’s certainly more affordable than many other bespoke services. And a made-to-measure coat is an investment, right? Stock up now!
