Designers Clements Ribeiro follow Burberry and Matthew Williamson in their return to London Fashion Week this September.
First Burberry, then Matthew Williamson, Pringle and Jonathan Saunders and now Clements Ribeiro - it's safe to say that this September's London Fashion Week is going to boast a designer schedule hotter than any other fashion city in the world.
The latest addition to the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, Clements Ribeiro return to the event at its new home at Somerset House, where it will pioneer the all-new LFW presentation schedule. The presentation schedule will run alongside the official catwalk schedule but will offer a more intimate and interactive setting for designers to showcase their collections.
The husband and wife design team, who made their debut in the Nineties with their own-name label and have designed for Paris label Cacharel, recently found success with a series of limited edition, hand-crafted designs that sold out at Net-a-Porter and select stores around the world, including Barneys New York, Colette, 10 Corso Como, Isetan, Liberty and Dover Street Market.
"The projects were a warm up to getting back to ready-to-wear, and this collection has been built around graphic fabrics and knits. When developing the collection we thought of strong individual pieces, using innovative craft that sat outside of trends. We believe there is a strong demand out there for craftsmanship and quality products which are unique, desirable and that have timeless appeal," says Ribeiro. The designers are also re-launching their highly acclaimed shoe line.
We're counting down the days already.
