Christopher Kane is named Designer of the Year at 2013 Scottish Fashion Awards
There’s cause for celebration in the Christopher Kane camp today as he was named Designer of the Year at last night’s Scottish Fashion Awards 2013.
Bagging the top prize at London’s Dover House ceremony, the Glaswegian-born designer welcomes the award in the same season he wowed London Fashion Week and announced plans to open his first stand alone store in the capital.
Chanel was also among this year's winners, named the International Designer of the Year for the best use of Scottish fabric. The French fashion house sent an array of traditional tweed down the Autumn Winter 2013 catwalk, modeled by Cara Delevingne, no less.
Other winners included Louise Gray for Fashion Innovator of the Year, Emeli Sande as Fashion Icon of the Year and Schuh for Retailer of the Year, while Pam Hogg took home the Creative Excellence Award.
Congratulations to them all!
