Chanel's Aspen Takeover: Fashion's Coolest Girls Touch Down For Pop-Up Shop Opening

Harley Viera-Newton and Atlanta De Cadenet let us in on their trip to Aspen for the opening of Chanel's Dallas-Paris pop-up shop...

Chanel certainly knows how to throw an amazing event and its latest party hasn't let the side down one bit. The brand has opened an 'ephemeral boutique' (fashion lingo for pop-up shop) in Aspen, Colorado to specifically showcase its Dallas-Paris collection in it's, erm, natural surroundings. To kick things off with a bang, and in true Chanel form, the brand invited a handful of it's favourite fashion It girls on a mini-trip to celebrate the launch which, inevitably, ended up being broadcast pretty heavily on social media. 

All weekend we were treated to images of the trip straight from guests Atlanta De Cadenet, Harley Viera-Newton and Leigh Lezark (to name a few) and, we have to admit, it looked seriously fun. Clearly our invite was lost in the post, eh Karl?

The group were taken to see the sights of Aspen not by car but, in true cowboy style, on horseback. Clad in denim, suede, rodeo hats and fringing galore, we reckon this is was probably the most fashionable horse-tour the town has ever seen.

Later on, there were behind the scenes Instagram shots aplenty as the girl's showed off the Chanel clobber they'd been given to wear to the event. Jealous, us? Majorly... From Harley's star studded brogues to Leigh's raw-edged chiffon skirt, we're craving the entire lot.

Really homing in on the surroundings, the shop is decked top-to-bottom in Native-inspired rugs and exposed woodwork, with mannequins wearing feather headdresses and blanket scarves to boot. Topped off with offbeat neon lights, the interior of the store is just as juxtaposed as the Dallas meets Paris theme of the collection; a match that's definitely no accident. 

You've got to hand it to Chanel: they certainly don't do anything by halves...
