When Keira Knightley gave her recent turn as Anna Karenina in the adaptation of the Leo Tolstoy novel of the same name, we couldn't keep our eyes off her dresses, or her jewels, and now its been revealed just how much they were worth.
Thanks to Keira's Chanel connection, as the face of the brand's Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, her costume designer Jacqueline Durran has revealed she had $2 million (£1.25 million) worth of diamonds and pearls to work with: "Never in my experience on film sets have I seen anyone with such a range of diamonds and pearls. But I have to say it was very useful for Keira to have at her fingertips all this fine jewellery, as Anna would."

Despite the film being set in the late Eighteenth Century, Durran was encouraged to look to the 50s for costume inspiration, drawing inspiration from the likes of Christian Dior, Lanvin and Balenciaga.
