The CFDA Awards is one of the biggest nights in the industry's year - and 2015 did not disappoint.

After announcing she was pregnant with her second child, Kim Kardashian walked the red carpet in a sheer custom Proenza Schouler dress – despite suffering with nausea - with Kanye alongside in Haider Ackermann.

It was a big day for the Kardashian clan, with the release of Caitlin Jenner’s first magazine cover. Kim spoke of the kindness and support the family had experienced about her stepfather's transition to womenhood.

Chrissy Teigen, who looked amazing in a Solace London gown alongside Stuart Weitzman, suffered a potentially embarrassing wardrobe mishap. In true don't-take-life-too-seriously Chrissy form, she shared on Instagram: 'Wardrobe malfunction of the highest caliber. Let's just say the slit took it upon itself to rip 5 inches higher'.

Pharrell Williams, quite rightly, was honored as a fashion icon. When presenting the award, Kanye - as well as praising Pharrell, his 'big brother' and 'style idol' – suggested the industry had made his move into fashion designing difficult, calling it the 'hardest high school I ever entered'.

Betsey Johnson won the lifetime achievement award and caused a performance; cartwheeling on the stage and being helped up by pal Kelly Osbourne before giving her speech.

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen attended in their signature all-black looks got the womenswear gong for their label The Row, Tom Ford was honoured with menswear and Tabitha Simmons for accessories.

The red carpet looks were as fabulous as ever, with the decolletage being the side boob of the moment. The mod squad, including Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss, worked plunging necklines while bandeau and off-the-shoulder styles were the popular choices.
