Odds are you’re out by, hmm, about £190,000. Yep, believe it.
When Kendall Jenner posts across her social media platforms, including Instagram to her 43 million (and rising) followers, it can earn her a pretty sweet sum – somewhere between $125,000-300,000, to be exact.
It’s always been an area of social media which people don’t really know about and, though it’s getting more widely-acknowledged that celebs are paid for what they post, the specifics have been as of yet unknown.
That is, until former casting director and founder and CEO of D’Marie Archive – an app which ranks the power of models, Frank Spadafora, spoke to CF Fashion Book.
Kendall isn’t the only one; models also in that upper echelon include Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne.
There’s money in it for the ‘second tier models’ too, Frank explained. ‘Very familiar faces like Karlie Kloss, Behati Prinsloo and Miranda Kerr’ can earn between $25,000-50,000 for a single post.
Having lots of followers is not only a sweet money-spinner, it can up the liklihood of a model being hired for a job.
Jennifer Powell, model agent at Next Models told CR Fashion Book: ‘For sure, casting directors will ask for models with over 'X' amount of followers, and then will ask for the specs of the talent after that.’
What can you do with $300,000 (approximately £201,101)?
1) A two-bedroom cottage in Hertfordshire or Devon.
2) Beyonce's diamond-encrusted House of Borgezie Princess Constellation stilettos, which she wore in her music video back in August.
3) Tamara Ecclestone's handbag collection.
4) Get Chris Eubank on I'm A Celebrity (reportedly).
5) To get 30 seconds worth of advertising on the X Factor 2013 final.
