Going right back to its British roots, Mulberry's classic 60s-inspired roll necks and knee high socks have us hankering for crisp autumn days (not that we're wishing away summer quite yet), and we've already put our names down for those monochrome brogues, ta very much.
Argyle sweaters aside, the real stars of this campaign are surely Mulberry's new handbags. As well as the new Tessie bag, and everlasting Bayswater, Cara D was also showing off her own designs for the label. So whether it's a quilted rucksack you're after, a simple satchel or a design classic, Mulberry's definitely got your bag needs covered for AW14.
Shot by legendary photographer Tim Walker, Cara was joined by a host of dogs on the shoot – well it wouldn't be a Mulberry campaign without a few animals – which took place in the rural highlands. There wan't even any phone signal (imagine), which might go some way to explaining why Cara's Instagram feed wasn't littered with behind-the-scenes pics.
We might be used to seeing Cara pounding the pavements of London, but the model is a country girl at heart, and so was more than at home on the shoot. 'I love the countryside. I went to school in the country and there was nothing like it - baking bread, rearing sheep, building fences, running around the forest,' the model explained in the campaign video.
And it seems the whole team loved the rural location for the campaign. 'The thing I most like about our new Mulberry campaign is the sheer Mulberry-ness of it! Big space, fresh air, wind in the hair, away from it all,' said the labl's Brand Director, Anne-Marie Verdin.
'Mulberry is a brand that is at home in town and country and we wanted to capture that feeling. When we arrived in Scotland it was pouring with rain, but once Tim arrived this golden sun appeared – he really has the magic touch.'
We couldn't agree more. Road trip to Scotland, anyone?
