Cameron Diaz has designed a 'pared down' collection for Pour La Victoire
Hot on the heels of Sarah Jessica Parker's debut shoe collection, Cameron Diaz is ready to unveil her range of shoes for label Pour La Victoire.
Since being named as the artistic director of the brand last summer, Diaz says she has aimed to 'refine' and 'pare down' PLV's range of footwear and handbags.
Speaking to WWD, the actress said: 'When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn’t really have its own identity. It was a little bit all over the place. I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that.'
The 41-year-old star says she wanted her first collection for the label to 'let go of the over-detailed shoes, the ones with too many bells-and-whistles. We brought it down to something clean.'
And Cameron's certainly achieved that with her sophisticated, minimalist collection. Think elegant heeled sandals and shoe boots in neutral tones. Feminine but not girly, minimalist but not boring.
'I don’t want girls to aspire to be me. That’s not what this brand is about,' said Cameron. 'It’s not about wearing a shoe I would wear. I want them to see themselves in this shoe.'
The shoes will be available on Shopbop.com priced between £150 – £300.
