The watch of our youth is making a comeback, and it's cooler than ever
Remember how cool having a Baby-G watch made you? Especially if it wasn't a knock-off one from Woolworths. Safe to say it was the only accessory anyone at our school in the late-Nineties wanted (apart from shag bands). We had the pink one (to go with our Nokia 5210), eventually ditching it along with our Sketchers shoes some time around 2002.
BUT, it looks like Baby-G just made a comeback, thanks to a collaboration with London Fashion Week designer, Sibling.
Sibling was one of the hottest tickets on the LFW schedule this February, and showcased another stellar collection packed with their signature take on colour, print and texture. Clothes aside, it was Sibling's new Baby-G watch that went straight to the top of our lust list.
Speaking on the collaboration, Hannah Rowe of Baby-G said: Now in its 21st year, BABY-G's retro futurist look is more relevant than ever. We have begun working on some exciting collaborations with like-minded artists, photographers and designers, such as Sibling to bring colourful excitement to today's leading-edge crowd.'
So it looks like our days wearing baby pink Baby-G's are back. We always knew we were the coolest in the office…
