Naomi Campbell paid tribute to the deceased designer at her Fashion for Relief: Haiti show at New York Fashion Week
It was a sombre finish to one of the most glamorous events at New York Fashion Week. Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief show ended with a gaggle of supermodels grouped, arms around each other, wearing S/S 2010 Alexander McQueen.
The fashion world was rocked as the news of McQueen's tragic death broke last Thursday and celebrities and fans of the designer have been wearing his signature skull and lips scarves as a mark of respect.
Helena Christensen and Karen Elson were among the clutch of models who joined Naomi Campbell in strutting the runway in a selection of looks from McQueen's last catwalk show.
Making a sombre tableau, the models joined arms in a colourful tribute to the designer to a background track of Because the Night by Patti Smith.
The show raised a total of $350 000 dollars for Haiti through ticket sales to American Express members and a donation by Amex themselves.
Other celebrities at the event included Victoria Beckham, Kelly Osbourne, Patti Smith, Chris Brown and Estelle.
