Alexa Chung is a perennial source of style inspiration for us (and most people we know), and her latest look is one we can buy straight off the hanger – and without breaking the bank either.
The model-cum-presenter-cum designer shared a snap of herself wearing a long-sleeved, ribbed top last night and handily let us know that she got in every fashionista's favourite high street store, Zara.
Although she needn't have bothered – we'd spotted the top a couple of weeks ago on our weekly browse of Zara's wares and our now kicking ourselves that we didn't get it.
Fitting perfectly into this season's late-60s, early-70s trend, we can imagine wearing this top with all of the spring purchases we've made so far. Either make like Alexa and layer it under your new denim dungarees, or pair it was an A-line suede skirt (Alexa's already bagged her suede midi one from M&S, which is bound to sell out when it hits stores in April). It will also work a dream with a pair of wide-legged trousers or flares, or with a pair of girlfriend jeans and trainers to work a more 90s vibe.
And at just £34.99 this is one spring buy that's far easier to justify than that fringed leather skirt you've got your eye on... (although you should absolutely buy that too).
Can't see the top online? Fear not. Zara has assured us that it's still in stores. But we reckon you shouldn't hang about if you want to get your hands on it. See you at the tills, ladies...
