The news of Alexa Chung's collection for Marks And Spencer got us mega EXCITEDDDD (yes, that excited) and after seeing that pink ruffle shirt (which we've been hashtag obsessed with since we saw it) we couldn't bladdy wait to see more — and now it's the day of the actual launch!
The at the launch party back in February, hosted by Alexa x British Fashion Council, coinciding with the start of London Fashion Week AW16, there was the big reveal. Naturally, Team InStyle were there to see it, alongside Alexa (obviously), Pixie Geldof, David Gandy, Jack Guinness and Charlotte Wiggins.
With prices starting at £19.50 for a top to £89 to a trench coat, it's actually properly affordable — and excellent.
It's exactly as you'd expect if you do the fashun maths... Alexa (+ her Brit cool style) + Marks And Spencer (+ their British Heritage archives) = 31 pieces of total sell-out amazingness, including trench coats, blazers, pleated skirts, androgynous shirts - all the things Alexa helped to make cool. The perfect fashion circle.
Check out 10 pieces from the collection which Alexa handpicked from M&S's Leeds archive and reworked — with different fabrics and detailing — for #ArchiveByAlexa.
Hitting stores and online on April 13, get ready for a shop-off... (Here's all the deets and pics of the Alexa x M&S collection)
