The singer has customised one of Fendi's most iconic accessories – the Peekaboo bag – with a pair of fluttery eyes and multicoloured studs. And we really want to get our hands on one.
Joining Adele in her design – and charity – efforts are nine other women from the worlds of fashion, music, art and journalism, who you just might have heard of. They are: Cara Delevingne, Gwnyeth Paltrow, Zaha Hadid, Tracey Emin, Kate Adie, Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger and Naomie Harris.
The ten women have each personalised a Peekaboo bag which will be auctioned online from 6pm this evening, at the same time Fendi's flagship London store opens it's doors on Bond Street.
'Growing up in a family of strong and pioneering females, I am excited that such iconic women, leaders in their own fields, have been involved in this project, on this iconic Fendi bag,' says Silvia Venturini Fendi, head of leather goods and granddaughter of the brand's founders, Edoardo and Adele Fendi. 'This project will not only allow Fendi to work with these incredible women, but also to raise valuable funds for Kids Company and help support their important work.'
All proceeds from the auction, which ends on 30 May, will go to Kids Company. Now this is how you do a shop opening.
