It was never going to be a sedate show and Galliano for Dior didn't fail to deliver a colour cocktail of delicious proportions!
Shaking off the muted shades of AW 10 with an explosion of popping prints and candy colours, Galliano took the runway on a voyage through the South Pacific by way of a nautical fleet, with hello sailor poster girls modelling cutie-pie playsuits, peekaboo minidresses and floaty high-waisted trousers.
Sarongs were remoulded into sundresses, denim got the sailor treatment, and bright espadrilles were back in a big way.
With Betty Page fringes, pout-perfect red lips and soft summertime curls, the pin-up cheesecake gals of the 50s were a clear beauty inspiration - and one we can't wait to try out!
And there to show her support to the fashion house, Kate Moss went front row in a feather shouldered all black ensemble.
