Mulberry's AW15 presentation was an absolute swoon-fest...
There's a very special reason that every editor, stylist and fashion girl worth her salt gets excited about London Fashion Week. Sure, it let's us see what the hottest designers have been getting up to for the last few months and what's going to be big news next season but deep down, what it does to each and every one of us is pretty simple: it awakes desires in us that we never knew existed.
And nothing has tempted us more this year than Mulberry's London Fashion Week presentation.
True to form, the luxury Brit label shunned the catwalk in favour of an intimate get-together that allowed the industry heavyweights to get-up close and very personal with the designs on offer for AW15.
It's this close-enough-to-touch aspect that makes us to fall head over heels with the pieces. And we've fallen hard for some seriously cool items that we never even knew we needed until now...
Our new objects of desire autumn/winter 2015 are as follows:
The Leather Kagool
Moving on from our biker obsession, we've found a new leather jacket silhouette to covet; the kagool. Always reliable and continually overlooked, we only tend to show the humble kagool some love around festival season but come AW15, we'll all be pining over this buttery bad boy.
The Pink Shearling Tote
Ok, so it comes in wearable black too but part of the sheer brilliance of this tote is it's killer colourway. Wear this bubblegum arm candy with shades of cream and grey for extra polish.
Because a jumper's not a jumper unless it's been beaten with the head of a thistle twenty times over to create it's super-cool texture. The same goes for trousers and cardi's.
The Lattice-Back Heel
It's set to be the detail to flaunt this summer but lattice lace-ups are going nowhere for autumn. We're smitten with these leather heels that tick off more trends than we care to count. Lattice, check. Tassels, check. A wooden sole, check. A hot colourway, check...
The Triple Buckle Belt
We'll be giving all of our outfits a fast-track to major style cred with this statement waist-cincher. The triple buckle finish may be edgy but modelled in Mulberry's trademark, top of the line leather it's still effortlessly chic.
The New Three-Piece
Co-ords are still on the fashion map for next season too but this time it's all about the power of three. This matching trouser/top/scarf combo is so cool it hurts; just add chunky platform heels and a suede trench and you're good to go.
The beauty of Mulberry's AW15 *really* needs to be seen up close to be appreciated in all its glory, like this hand-painted motif that's been etched into the woollen fabric of this cosy coat. Sublime.
Yep, we've got a LOT of saving to do before Mulberry's AW15 collection hits the shelves. Lunches of tinned soup for the next six months will be SO worth it...
