Street stylers were colour blocking their way to confidence across LFW shows this season.

It's only February and it's still pretty cold, but the London Fashion Week street stylers took on one of our favourite SS18 trends this season: colour confidence.

LFW was bought to life with a sea of lilac, red, blues and greens in the form of bold colouring using huge chunky knits, wide leg tailored trousers, coats and blazers. Just about everyone from bloggers to editors were giving this a go, but there was a clear divide in who wore what.

Influencers and bloggers, such as Sandra Hagelstam (@fiveinchandup) and Doina Ciobanu (@doina), took the trend by the horns and went head-to-toe in their power colour of choice. That’s everything including shoes and bags and in, quite literally, traffic-stopping traffic light colours.

Fashion editors, stylists and even celebrities like Olivia Palermo, however, opted for colour clashes in more muted colours, such as lilac and mint. I also took this trend on and can totally back the confidence a splash of colour bought to my look. I worked Theory tailored trousers with a COS shirt and it’s safe to say the street style photographers were into it, too.

Don’t wait for summer to get into colour, make like the London Fashion Week street style set and brighten up your winter blues now. Shop my favourite colour block pieces below.
