Kate Moss has collaborated with her friend, the Brazilian designer Ara Vartanian to create a limited-edition collection of jewellery. Said to: 'Bring to life old English legends in a modern fashion,' the collection features rings, necklaces and earrings all crafted in 18kt gold with many set with rich stones including citrine and amethysts plus one of a kind pieces set with diamonds and rubies.
First meeting in 2014, it was Kate who orginally encouraged Ara to open a store in London having seen his success in Brazil. Having become friends the collection has been designed in complete creative partnership between the two, fusing aspects of Ara’s designs, including his iconic Hook Earrings with Kate’s signature style and love of jewellery.
Inspired by old English legends and the mystic, Kate and Ara are said to: 'Share a vision that comes from the deep-seated belief in organic spirituality of the natural world.' This is translated in the collection through medieval and sickle moon symbols and amulets which are said to offer protection and good energy.
The lookbook images shot by David Bailey's son, Fenton, at Kate's home in the Cotswolds channels the vibe with models (all from Kate's own agency) pictured lounging around in the countryside. Kate and Ara also strike a pose.
With prices starting from £700 the collection is available to buy now from Harvey Nichols
