Intro Deck:

When it comes to festival fashion, the right jewellery can take your grubby, mud-caked day four look from grim to great. Here, Harriet Hall picks the best pieces to shop right now.

Festival season is here. Finally. Whether you’re heading out to the Californian desert to celeb-spot at Coachella, braving the mud at Glastonbury or going more niche at chilled Into The Woods, festival fashion is all about the accessories.

It’s the one time of year where the ‘less is more’ rule does not apply. Layering is key and the more the better. For me, it’s the one time of year I wear a ring on every single finger - time for my thumbs and pinkies to shine!

If you want to go for a more classic boho vibe, combine fine gold layered necklaces with stacks of ornate rings - arrows and wishbones are our fave pendants, so look out for these. Top tip: Accessorize always has so many options when it comes to the finer pieces and some are even plated so they won't go green as soon as it rains.

Right now earrings are a HUGE thing, quite literally, so you'll have no trouble in finding some huge statement tassels or hoops to complete your look (BTW, earrings are the new 'It' bag). We're currently obsessing over Zara's bright pink embroidered pom-pom pair that will work perfectly with khaki and denim.

Chokers are another key accessory of the moment and can instantly lift your t-shirt and denim cut-offs from basic to babing. We're over the simple black chokers and have moved onto the coloured beaded versions in H&M

But, our accessory go-to for 2017? A necker-chief. Wear around your neck or in your hair. Double tick.

Whether you're shopping with a big budget for a keepsake piece to wear again and again or just want a quick fix from the high street, we've found all the coolest festival jewellery to shop right now. Still looking for your full look? This shopping edit has all you need when it comes to festival fashion 2017
