Winter boots are one of those things that, come autumn, we (reluctantly) start thinking about - and now the weather's turned, they're a must-have.
With all the rain and the chilly mornings, all thoughts of open-toed shoes go out the window, along with your light jackets and festival attire.
But you won't miss the sun for long as boots are bigger and better than ever for AW15 and we can't stop thinking about which boot trend we'll be wearing from the new season offering.
Though we're never going to be over a classic Chelsea boot or a heeled ankle style, the pairs we saw on the catwalks were all about texture, in statement shapes. We saw snakeskin and lace-up boots at Chloe, velvet and chunky block heels at Givenchy and who can forget those over-the-knee patent pairs at Dior and Marc Jacobs?
If you're thinking over-the-knee pairs, particularly skin-tight patent leather ones, are too much, just look to the front row. All the fashionistas, from Helena Bordon to Chiara Ferragni were wearing them styled up with mini skirts and dresses.
Covetable creations have hit the high street, too, with Topshop, River Island and Senso showing inspiration from the catwalk.
Whether you're looking for a pair to team with a belted dressing gown coat right now, or an investment to see you through the season, check out our pick of the best styles...
