Fendi Red Boots and Functional Trainers. The Copenhagen Street Style Set Have Already Nailed AW17

Before if you wanted some autumn winter wardrobe inspiration from your favourite street style crushes you’d have to wait until at least mid September when fashion month was properly underway. You’d most likely get a vague idea of what they were loving at New York, then see them mix it up a bit more at London before finally establishing their looks during Milan and Paris. But not any longer. It may only be August but Copenhagen fashion week just firmly set the street style trends for autumn winter 2017. We may have predicted from the shows seen earlier this year that red boots, cool knits and easy dresses would be firm must-haves on everyone’s wish lists come colder climes but we didn’t expect to turn up to the Danish capital and see all the major bloggers already wearing them. From blogger Caroline Daur in those not yet on-sale red hot Fendi boots to stylist Darja Barannik’s floral full-length dress here’s how they did it…

Cheery Knits...

Sure, it may have been on average 22 degrees but that didn’t stop anyone with a brightly hued woollen jumper from rocking it. From canary yellow to tangerine, knits either oversized or cropped were capturing all the street style photographers’ attention. We love Camille Charrière's pairing of an egg yolk coloured version with a simple white denim skirt.

Functional Trainers...

Roaming around backstage at Ganni it quickly became clear that Danish girls love a functional trainer. Think, thick and padded soles, mesh panelling and a hell of a lot of gel impact protection. Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup paired her gel Asics with sky blue socks and a flirty skirt which seemed to set the tone for the rest of the Scandi crew. Stylist Trine Kjaer opted for a pair of Adidas’s Climacool 2  in white, teaming them with striped trousers from Mads Norgaard, while Grey Nike Air Max 97’s plus vintage New Balance and Fila were also spotted bouncing around.

10 Trends You'll Be Wearing For Autumn Winter 2017

Red Hot Boots...

If there was anything guaranteed to stop Copenhagen traffic then it was blogger Caroline Daur’s traffic light red over-the-knee Fendi boots. Only available to pre-order for us mere mortals, the German blogger is definitely one giant step ahead of the trend and teamed them with a By Malene Birger coat.  In glossy red leather and ribbed sock material we’ll race you to the betting office to gamble that these are going to be one look hot-footing it all over the forthcoming fashion month.

Millennial pink...

We’ve had millennial pink sofas, painted walls and even lattes so unsurprisingly it was a go-to colour for the streetstyle set too. Pandora Sykes wore a candy cotton Ganni suit that she kept from looking too saccharine with a simple pair of black slingbacks while Veronika Heilbrunner opted for a sports luxe tracksuit again from Ganni, which had us all thinking we should have been quicker off the mark to nail the trend too.

50 Shades of Green...

Copenhagen Street Style 2017

If it wasn’t millennial pink we were spotting than we were counting all things green. From mossy Gucci bags to ivy toned blazers and even tennis court lawn coloured Balenciaga kitten heels, when it comes to trends it seems green is definitely a sustainable one for autumn winter at least.

Groundbreaking right? Yep, it’s pretty simple but trust us, this trend gives maximum impact. Whether in floor length or just below the knee, fancy or flirty, clashing or matching, the dress is back with a bang.
