InStyle’s annual Project 13 awards (in associate with Next and Cointreau) turned out to be one of the parties of the year. We invited the cream of the blogging world to celebrate all things digital and the guest list was a who’s who of just-how-do-they-do-that talent, including Project 13 winners past and present.
Held in the most Instagrammable of venues, Lights of Soho, our favourite bloggers, vloggers and influencers sipped on Cointreau cocktails (a vanilla and apple fizz, anyone?) and danced to a genius DJ set by fitness and wellbeing blogger AJ Odudu, who also happened to be one of our Project 13 winners.
‘The party is so fun. I’m on the ones and twos DJing tonight and I’ve gone for an RnB flavour with a few party classics thrown in there. Burning calories on the dance floor is totally a thing.’ It's the only way we know how, AJ...
Celebrating the creative spirit of the country’s most exciting digital influencers, the Project 13 awards are now in their second year. You guys voted, tweeted, Instagrammed and Snapchatted in your thousands (over 50,000) for the people that you wanted to win the awards in a huge range of categories, from travel and craft to cocktails and fitness.
InStyle’s editor-in-chief, Charlotte Moore, explained why these are awards are so important: ‘Digital celebrities have changed the way we consume media. InStyle’s Project 13 celebrates this revolution and it’s really exciting to be a part of it.’
Here’s a quick glance at who won what:

What makes these awards so special, we think, is that you guys voted. You guys, the people who love these blogs, vlogs and Instas so much, are the ones who decided the outcome. And, boy, are the winners grateful.
‘This is my first award,’ says Jim Chapman, winner of the Project 13 Male Style Blogger award. ‘I won sexiest man once and got some sort of mug, but this is the first big one.
‘It’s lovely, and especially lovely that my audience voted for this. It’s really special.’
And where's Jim going to keep his hugely coveted award? ‘At the moment there are Christmas decorations on every surface in my house.
‘I walked in my bedroom the other day and Tanya (Burr, Jim’s wife and fellow blogging megastar) had put a tiny Christmas tree on my bedside table and I was like ‘no, I need that, that’s where my stuff goes,’ so it might just have to be in the kitchen until Christmas is over and then I’ll find a real home for it.’
Thanks so much to everyone for voting - we're already looking to next year's Project 13.
