The Serpentine Summer Party 2015 was the biggest celebfest since... well, Glastonbury, but there was a seriously star-studded guest list at the glamorous London bash, with art, fashion, music and film's finest in attendance.
Christopher Kane co-hosted the annual party with Serpentine Galleries, along with NARS and Godiva. This was a particularly special year as it marks the 15th anniversary of the Pavilion Commission, which was launched by Julia Peyton-Jones, the gallery director. With the pavilion described as a ‘psychedelic caterpillar’, amongst other things, it was thought Kane’s designs – with their bold us of colour and lines - would be a fitting backdrop.
The designer said: ‘I have admired the Serpentine and its amazing work and reputation for many years now and have always loved going to the Summer Party. I am honoured to be co-hosting this year on the 15th anniversary of the Summer Pavilion Project, continuing the celebrations of such a rich history of design and architecture in the heart of London’.
There was the usual celeb turn-out, with Alexa Chung in Christopher Kane’s ‘Lover’s Lace’ dress and Suki Waterhouse in an ethereal Valentino dress from the SS15 collection. It was Poppy Delevingne that really got us talking; channeling a new look with her bright blonde hair, a sheer dress from Christopher Kane AW15 and dramatic gothic make-up.
Breaking out of the pretty dress aesthetic, Edie Campbell stood out in a bold Marques’Almeida outfit with fun fluffy heels.
There were also some big Hollywood actresses in attendance, including Kate Hudson, who showed off her incredible toned figure in Louis Vuitton, and Naomie Harris.
Keeping the A-list entertained at the, Spandau Ballet headlined, and Mark Ronson and James Righton DJ’ed, and the stars continued their evening at classic haunt Annabel's.
